All reports, certificates, cards and other materials issued by the Diamond Institute of America are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Any figure described as a retail replacement value, estimate or valuation is an illustrative teaching figure offered for education only. It is not an objective valuation, not an offer to buy or sell, and not an exact representation of the price at which any item may be bought, sold or insured.

Service Limitations

This report is not to be used as a warranty, appraisal, valuation or guarantee. Diamond grading is not an exact science, so in results this report only represents the characteristics of the Diamond described in the opinion of the examiner. DIA is not to be held responsible for any of the variations in the characteristics of the reporting that may occur of the difference in grading technique, type and conditions of the equipment used, standard, norms or experience and criteria of others examining the Diamond.

The recipient of the report may wish to consult other credentialed gemologists about the information stated in this certificate. The Diamond diagram is only an approximate representation and not to be used as an exact representation of relative position and type of external and internal characteristics.

Neither DIA or any employees, examiners or any agents of DIA will be liable of any expense, loss or damage resulting from any error or omission in this report in any manner. DIA or neither of its employees, examiners, nor agents will be responsible even if the loss or damage was resulted by the negligence or other fault of DIA, its employees, examiners, nor any agents are responsible or liable for any consequential or special damages resulting from any kind of error or omission from this report or the issuance and use of this report even if the person stated has been advised or warned of the possibilities of such damage.

Professional Disclosure

DIA is a wholesale merchant engaged in the sale of diamonds and may have been the owner, seller or have had financial interest in the diamond described in the following report at the time that the report was prepared. DIA, by providing this report does not show or imply representation that DIA is a disinterested third party.

Appraisal Request Disclaimer

All appraisal requests submitted through this website are for evaluation purposes only. Submission of a request does not guarantee an appraisal. The Diamond Institute of America reserves the right to decline any request. All submitted photos and information will be kept confidential and used solely for appraisal purposes.

Data Retention

DIA operates under no data retention mandate and gives no undertaking to store, preserve, archive or maintain any submitted or generated data for any period of time. Retention of appraisal requests, photographs, uploaded documents, generated reports, cards and related records is entirely at the discretion of the Diamond Institute of America.

DIA may retain, archive, anonymize or permanently delete any such data at any time, with or without notice, and is under no obligation to provide copies, backups, exports or restoration of deleted material. Recipients and submitters are solely responsible for keeping their own copies of any report, document or image they wish to preserve. Nothing in this section limits any obligation DIA may have under applicable law.

Fee Structure

All fees collected are for the hard and digital copy material (DIA Cover, Paper, Lamination, and Digital Documents) ONLY & Information uploaded to website ONLY. Details represented on Appraisal or Certificate is FREE and ONLY an opinion from a person engaged in the diamond and jewelry industry who has not graduated from GIA or any other gemological institute. Details also may have come from Individual sellers engaged in the diamond and jewelry industry.
